Men's Hockey Unveils New Uniform Ahead of Annual ‘Wear White’ Game

Jersey’s to be auctioned with proceeds benefiting State College Coyotes Sled Hockey

For the second-straight season, the Penn State men's ice hockey team unveiled a new uniform ahead of the annual 'Wear White' game against Ohio State on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

The uniform is simple and bold, featuring a script Penn State across the chest in grey and navy tackle-twill on a base white sweater with the iconic Penn State lionhead logo appearing on each shoulder.

One grey stripe splits a pair of navy stripes on the bottom of the jersey along with matching angular sleeve stripes while real collar laces make a return on the neck to adorn the two-tone collar.

The back features bold block numbers in grey outlined in navy with a white nameplate with navy lettering. On the nape, above the name, is an embroidered outline of the state of Pennsylvania with a navy stripe down the center.

Special edition socks matching the stripes on the sweater will complete the look along with navy and white gloves and the classic white Penn State helmet with the navy stripe down the center.

Each jersey will be up for auction on GoPSUsports.com with all proceeds going towards the State College Coyotes Sled Hockey program. The auction will begin prior to the weekend on Friday, January 26 at noon and run through Wednesday, January 31 at 7 p.m.

"We are extremely proud of Dylan Lugris and all of our players for their involvement in the, now annual, Penn State Sled Hockey Classic. Everything about it; the idea, the planning, and the execution, is 100 percent done by the team," commented head coach Guy Gadowsky. "This auction of our Wear White jerseys enables us to make a meaningful contribution to The State College Coyotes Sled Hockey team. We encourage everyone to bid and help us support the Coyotes through this sale, at the game on February 3, and afterwards with a free skate. It's a blast!"

Jersey's will be stripped of their name bars prior to shipment and winning bidders should expect to receive their jerseys at the conclusion of the regular season as they may be worn again throughout the remaining home schedule.
