Aiden Fink Nominated for Hobey Baker Memorial Award

Freshman Aiden Fink (Calgary, Alberta) has been nominated to the initial list for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, as announced on Friday morning. The award is presented annually to the top NCAA Division I men's ice hockey player.

Fan voting is open now and will run through March 10. Each fan is allowed one VOTE per day during this initial phase. Phase two of fan voting will begin once the list has been narrowed to the top 10 finalists on March 20 and run through March 31. The fan vote accounts for one percent of the total ballot in each phase in selecting this year's award recipient.

The Hobey Hat Trick will be announced on April 4, with the winner to be awarded during the 2024 Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minnesota, on April 12.

Fink leads the team with 28 points on 12 goals and 16 assists, ranking in the top 10 of the Big Ten for each offensive category. His 28 points are tied for fourth in the Big Ten and lead all conference rookies, while his 12 goals are tied for eighth in the conference and tops among first-year players. Fink's 16 assists are also tied for eighth in the conference and third among first-year students.

Fink's 28 points rank in the top 20 nationally and are tied for seventh among first-year students, with his 12 goals ranking tied for sixth among first-year players.

The Calgary, Alberta native had a November to remember being named HCA National Rookie of the Month after pacing the nation with eight goals and 14 assists in eight games, ending the month on a career-best five-game heater.

Fink's 28 points are already suitable for the third-most by a freshman in Penn State history, while his 12 goals and 16 assists rank eighth and fourth, respectively.
